Choose furniture that best suits your conservatory style
Whilst materials like cane and wicker have traditionally been used to furnish conservatories, you could also go for a more modern styling and opt for different materials of furniture in your conservatory as well. There should be no reason why can’t furnish your conservatory just as you would any other room in your home - using a variety of different materials, fabrics, textures and colours to create an interesting, yet relaxing and comfortable extra living space.
When it comes to colour schemes - choosing the furnishing theme for your conservatory as this is a very important consideration, perhaps even more so than in any other room in your home. Due to the way that the atmosphere may be partly determined by the orientation of the style of the conservatory. So, South-facing sunny conservatories are most beneficial from cooler colours such as blues and greens, whilst more North or East-facing conservatories will look great with warm, energetic shadings to create a more vibrant feel.
It's also very important to remember that a conservatory is often an extension of its’ adjoining room, so you should consider using a similar style of furnishings to make rooms flow together and further enhance the feeling of living space within your home. A sense of continuity and consistency is essential to achieving the perfect balance between home and conservatory, too much of one and not enough of the other can often have the opposite effect from what you want to achieve.
